Which wood scaffolding planks are safe to use?

A study published in the journal Environmental Health Perspectives found scaffolding plans can increase the risk of heart disease.

The study found a total of 6,828 scaffold plans in the UK were contaminated with the carcinogenic nitrosamines bisphenol A (BPA), which was found in some of the wood plans, including those made of plywood.

It found the number of deaths from heart disease from bisphene-based plans in Britain was five times higher than the number for those using the same plan made of non-bisphene materials.
